As a PMHNP at The Willow Center, you will work closely with therapists, medical providers, and clinical staff to develop individualized treatment plans that promote healing, wellness, and long-term recovery in a supportive and patient-centered environment.Education & LicensureRequiredMaster's Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.Current, unrestricted Indiana license as a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).Current DEA registration with unrestricted prescribing authority.Compliance with all Indiana and federal prescribing requirements, including regulations related to psychiatric and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) medications.PreferredDoctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or other doctoral degree.Essential ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adolescent and adult clients.Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals experiencing mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, and substance use disorders.Evaluate clients for medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and prescribe addiction treatment medications when clinically appropriate.Monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and treatment progress while adjusting medications as needed.Identify and respond appropriately to clinical concerns, including suicidal ideation, medication interactions, substance use complications, and complex medical or psychiatric conditions.Provide medical recommendations related to clients' overall health, wellness, and primary healthcare concerns.Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with therapists and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team.Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).Communicate effectively with clients, families, referral sources, community providers, and internal team members.Protect client confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all applicable federal and state regulations.Demonstrate professionalism, ethical decision-making, cultural humility, and compassionate patient care.Utilize company-required technology, including electronic medical records and other clinical software.Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace culture.Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and clinical standards.Perform other duties as assigned to support quality client care.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of psychiatric medication prescribing experience.Experience prescribing psychiatric medications and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals with substance use disorders strongly preferred.Knowledge of evidence-based practices for mental health and addiction treatment.Experience working with clients who have experienced complex trauma, co-occurring disorders, and emotional dysregulation.Previous credentialing with Indiana Medicaid and commercial insurance payers preferred.Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize situations requiring immediate intervention.Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Flexible, dependable, patient-focused, and committed to continuous learning.Willingness to work two evening shifts per week.Additional RequirementsMaintain an unrestricted Indiana RN/APRN license and DEA registration.Successfully complete an Indiana State Police criminal background check.Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, productive clinical environment.Commitment to fostering a culture of recovery, hope, respect, and excellence in client care.Preferred Experience:Psychiatric medication management: 2 yearsMedication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): 2 yearsMental health and substance use disorder treatment: 2 years
