Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description

Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment while ensuring compliance with all safety rules. Engage in tasks that support the safety and efficiency of the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, or repair production machines and facility equipment.

• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on machinery and facility equipment.

• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

• Diagnose machine and mechanical problems to determine corrective actions for optimal performance.

• Perform simple machinist tasks and mechanic skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

• Use a variety of mechanics tools, meters, and material handling equipment.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of manufacturing experience.

• Strong experience with PLC, drives, and electrical applications.

• Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.

• Technical training and exposure to high-speed equipment.

• Experience with machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.

• Ability to read and interpret technical data.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent education and experience.

• Knowledge of industrial safety and hygiene.

• Ability to problem solve and recognize issues.

• Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

• Experience with injection molding machines, thermoforming machines, PLC programming, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.

• Ability to stand for the majority of the shift and lift 50+ pounds.

Work Environment

Work in a production environment with potential exposure to loud noises, oils, plastic resins, solvents, and other chemicals. The role requires the ability to climb stairs, ladders, and onto equipment when necessary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conover, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
