About the Role Independent practice opportunity for physicians who wish to practice clinically while receiving structured operational support for non‑clinical business functions. Physicians own and operate their practice entity; MedCBO provides non‑clinical administrative and operational support services. Many physicians seek clinical autonomy but avoid private practice due to billing complexity, staffing risk, payer contracting, and administrative overhead. This position eliminates those barriers by offering a complete administrative infrastructure without requiring prior business ownership experience. Physicians may establish or transition a practice in a preferred market, subject to state licensure and applicable regulatory requirements. The physician governs clinical operations, clinical decisions, and patient care policies; MedCBO directs no patient care. Physician Responsibilities Provide patient care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing and hospital/facility privileges as required. Determine clinical services offered and manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows and staffing systems. Technology platform implementation. Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
