Position Overview The Electrical Foreman serves as the first-line supervisor responsible for leading field crews involved in the installation, alteration, and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest level of craftsmanship. This is a safety-sensitive position. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead electrical crews on commercial and industrial projects. Coordinate activities with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules. Plan manpower requirements and manage crew loading schedules. Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available to maintain productivity. Oversee installation of feeders, switchgear, motors, pumps, generators, lighting systems, control systems, and associated electrical equipment. Monitor quality, productivity, and job progress. Perform electrical work as needed for production or training purposes. Maintain daily reports, timesheets, safety documentation, and other project records. Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures. Investigate and report incidents or safety concerns. Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to crew members. Maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders. Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Current Texas Journeyman Electrician License (or reciprocal state license recognized by Texas). Minimum of six (6) years of commercial or industrial electrical experience. Previous foreman or crew leadership experience preferred. Skills & Requirements Strong knowledge of building codes and electrical systems. Proven leadership and communication skills. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass background and drug screening requirements. Ability to travel occasionally based on project needs. Strong attendance and reliability. Physical Requirements Ability to bend, kneel, squat, climb, crawl, and work overhead. Routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more. Work from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and elevated surfaces. Ability to distinguish wiring colors and maintain visual awareness. Must be able to wear required PPE at all times. Capable of working overtime, weekends, and occasional night shifts when required. Work Environment Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and on active construction sites. Employees may encounter elevated work areas, confined spaces, excavation zones, unfinished structures, and other conditions commonly associated with commercial and industrial construction projects.
