IT Level 3 Field Technician

Mohawk Ambulance is looking for experienced IT Level 3 Field Technicians to join our growing team!

The IT Level 3 Field Technician is responsible for supporting the organization's information technology program, having meticulous attention to detail, exhibiting outstanding problem-solving skills, working comfortably under pressure, working with minimal supervision, and possessing strong multi-tasking skills. Working alongside the Director of IT, Systems Security Administrator, and Cybersecurity Analyst, this role provides an excellent opportunity to enhance experience in installing, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.

Essential Functions:

As with all Mohawk staff, the IT Level 3 Field Technician may be asked to do other related work as required in support of the broader mission and objectives of the company. • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain video, data, copper cables, fiber cabling infrastructure, PCs, and wire management
• Workstation operating system issues of any kind, including printer issues
• User access issues to systems, network, and applications
• Standard business application (Office, QuickBooks, Adobe PDF, etc.) issues of any kind
• Basic and intermediate server issues
• Basic and intermediate networking issues (LAN, WiFi, VPN and WFH)
• Imaging/cloning Windows devices
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain video, data, copper cables and fiber cabling infrastructure
• Our industry specific equipment and software after initial training
• Basic security issues
  

Qualifications and Requirements

• College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science and/or 5 years equivalent work experience
• CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications preferred
• Exceptional multi-tasking and project completion skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to explain concepts to non-tech clients and aptitude to understand and follow standard operating procedures
• Ability to act as intermediaries between clients, IT team, vendors, and organization
• Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create how-to documents for team members and end-users
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision but work as part of team on projects
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, computer hardware and peripherals
• Strong familiarity with IP protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN
• Senior level experience with Active Directory, Group Policy & User Profile Management and MFA security, MS Exchange, MS Office / 365
• Experience supporting and maintaining WiFi, GPS, audio-video, telecom, smartphone, EHR and telemedicine infrastructures

Physical and Work Requirements

• Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment
• May participate in on-call rotation or respond to critical security incidents outside normal business hours
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to stand and participate in physically demanding tasks for periods of time
  
• Ability to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds
