Maintenance Worker IJOB SUMMARYThe objective of the Maintenance Worker I is to be responsible for all labor job activities but not limited to repair and maintenance of all water and sewer systems within the City of Dodge City; To ensure a trouble-free water and sewer system; Other duties as assigned.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms manual labor in the repair, maintenance and minor construction of water systems; Repair water lines, rod sewers, etc.Install, maintain, and flush fire hydrants.Install new services, meters, lids, etc.Maintain grounds at water towers.Maintain chemicals in water system.Keep and maintain accurate records of work through a prescribed record keeping system.Clean and maintain equipment.Cross-train in other areas of the Public Works Department as appropriate.
