By connecting with The Pivot Group Network, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, and CMMs, to verify conformance.Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformance details, in designated quality management systems.Initiate and process Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials, ensuring proper containment, identification, and communication to relevant stakeholders.Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and supplier quality teams to resolve material discrepancies and improve supplier quality performance.Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established schedules and procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability.Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans.Recommended QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.1-3 years experience in quality control, inspection, or a manufacturing environment.Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (GD&T preferred).Experience using a variety of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges).Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems.Bonus QualificationsExperience with automated inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, vision systems).Familiarity with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.Ability to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.Experience with statistical process control (SPC) charting and analysis.IPC-A-610 certification.Job Titles That Should ApplyIncoming Quality Inspector, Receiving Inspector, Quality Control Technician, Inspection Technician, Material Quality Inspector, Supplier Quality Inspector, QA Inspector, QC Inspector, Quality Assurance Technician, Incoming Goods InspectorWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
