Intern, Data Analytics

The Intern of Data Analytics will support the Economics team in developing and maintaining an interactive dashboard that visualizes key business metrics. The Intern will apply data visualization and economic analysis. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain interactive Excel dashboards to track key business and economic indicators. Utilize PivotTables, charts, slicers, and conditional formatting to create visualizations. Work with large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that help the Chief Economist support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with the Chief Economist and Research Assistant, Economics on the dashboard functionality. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports. Document dashboard development processes for knowledge sharing and future reference. Education & Experience: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field. Experience with Excel dashboards (e.g., a portfolio, sample work, or a skills test) including PivotTables, charting, slicers, and conditional formatting. Experience working with economic data, financial models, or business intelligence tools. Familiarity with conducting open-source research. Familiarity with macros Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) or Power Query is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and verbal communications skills Self-motivated with attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and work on a variety of projects, adjust to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results. Ability to provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
