This position focuses on providing specialized math instruction in a 5th and 6th grade inclusion classroom, making a meaningful difference during a maternity leave coverage from August 13th through December 1st.

Your involvement will help bridge learning gaps and foster confidence in mathematics for students requiring additional support. As a dedicated Special Education Teacher, you’ll closely collaborate with general education staff, utilizing the pull-in method for 1:1 targeted math instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in math
• Background in co-teaching or inclusion settings at the elementary or middle school level
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation and differentiation strategies
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized math instruction within 5th and 6th grade inclusion classrooms
• Use research-based strategies for differentiated, targeted support (pull-in, 1:1 methodology)
• Work closely with teaching teams to adapt curriculum and monitor progress
• Document student growth, provide feedback, and support IEP goals
