Field Services Engineer

Field Service Engineer – MST

Location: Waukesha, WI 53186

Duration: 12 months (Potential Conversion/Extension possible)

Responsibilities

• Commission, start up, troubleshoot, and optimize Building Automation Systems and Direct Digital Controls.
• Configure controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
• Load and troubleshoot control software and configure alarms, trends, reports, and monitoring functions.
• Diagnose HVAC controls, networking, sensor, and related equipment issues.
• Ensure systems operate according to project specifications.
• Serve as the onsite technical contact for customers and installation teams.
• Communicate project status, document technical issues, and train facility operators.
• Support project delivery from installation through commissioning and final turnover.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree.
• Experience with data centers, Building Automation Systems, or HVAC.
• Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Waukesha, WI.
• Availability for approximately 50 hours per week.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• BAS/DDC commissioning and HVAC controls experience.
• Multimeter troubleshooting experience.
• IP networking fundamentals.
• BACnet or Modbus protocol knowledge.
• Experience with Carrier ALC, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Trane, Schneider Electric, or Honeywell platforms.
• Familiarity with sensors, actuators, VAV boxes, chillers, boilers, and air handlers.
