Maintenance Technician - Facilities & Maintenance

Responsibilities Respond to all general maintenance service calls in a timely manner. Fill out maintenance request forms upon completion and submit them to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor. Perform general repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and all other guest and facilities work requests. Maintain technical logs and record all relevant data as appropriate. Ensure minimal interruption to business operations by prioritizing projects according to Seminole Classic Casino policies, procedures and schedules. Promote positive public/employee relations at all times. Maintain a clean, safe, hazard‑free work environment within area of responsibility. Perform all other related and compatible or non‑compatible duties as assigned. Repair, replace or adjust defective parts; install special functional and structural parts in devices; lubricate and clean parts. Maintain air conditioning units by routine maintenance of filters, drain lines, etc.; control temperature to ensure comfort of employees and customers. Set up and operate tools and other equipment to fabricate or repair parts. Maintain proper equipment inventories in shop areas. Assemble and install furniture, carts, racks, shelving, etc. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Inspect electrical outlets and wiring and repair or replace as needed to ensure safety. Replace lights inside and outside the building as required to ensure proper illumination. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs related to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling or ventilation systems as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or technical certificate and a minimum of one (1) to three (3) years’ experience with commercial/industrial plumbing or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent hand/eye coordination and close vision. Ability to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, diagrams and drawings. Work Environment Must be able to work in a smoking environment. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays as required. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work may require standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms; prolonged walking, climbing, carrying weight of up to 50–100 lbs. Work may involve high and low or precarious places, proximity to fiberglass insulation and working under sinks and cabinets.
