Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Location: Northwest Houston, TX
Pay: $18–$24/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; occasional Saturdays required

Job Description

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist with at least three years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for receiving materials, preparing UPS and freight shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and resolving shipping and receiving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight trucks and receive materials into the ERP system
• Review and resolve purchase order, packing list, and receiving discrepancies
• Pick, pack, and process UPS shipments
• Pick, pack, and crate freight shipments
• Prepare materials and products for shipment
• Assist with cycle counts and location audits
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records
• Safely operate material-handling equipment
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least three years of shipping and receiving experience
• Experience operating sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks
• Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and shipping software
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods
• Ability to work occasional Saturdays and extended hours when needed
• Steel-toe boots required
• Valve industry experience or knowledge is a plus

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing, shop, and office environment. Required PPE may include steel-toe boots, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, a face shield, gloves, and an apron. Some areas of the facility may involve contact with caustic substances.

Location Notice

The position is currently located in Northwest Houston near ZIP code 77041. The facility is expected to move closer to the FM 249 area at the end of the year. Applicants must be able to commute to both the current and future locations.
