Join the Division of Cardiology at Albany Medical College as an academic cardiologist in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology (Assistant, Associate or full Professor) and become part of the regions only DNV-certified comprehensive advanced heart failure program. Were growing our team of 18 cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers to meet increasing demand. Albany Medical College, founded in 1839, is one of the oldest private medical schools in the country and home to the Capital Regions only academic tertiary care hospital.

Program details:

\n

\n
• Strong institutional and community support for our program which embraces a multidisciplinary approach.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a team of advanced practice providers, specialists in cardiac electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, and cardiothoracic surgery.
\n
• Opportunity to be part of a team offering expertise in cardiomyopathies including hypertrophic and infiltrative disorders.
\n
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for heart transplant and VAD patients, in collaboration with regional academic cardiac surgical centers in the Northeast.
\n
• Support and contribute to a growing, well-established program that is committed to providing innovative, patient-centered care to heart failure patients.
\n
• Become part of the core faculty for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology.
\n
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment.
\n
• Formal training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation.
\n
• Leadership qualities and assets are highly valued.
\n
• Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
\n
• Passion for providing high-quality care to heart failure patients and advancing the field of cardiology.
\n
• Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare providers.
\n
• Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York.
\n
