Respiratory Therapist (Registered) – Travel assignment in Middlebury, Vermont. Start date 09/24/2026 for 3 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,224–$2,352 per week, with no guaranteed hours. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12 Nights). Setting: a 25-bed critical access hospital. This assignment requires NICU experience, Epic workflow familiarity, and a strong bedside clinical background across ICU and ED environments.

Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed respiratory care to patients across age groups, with emphasis on NICU, ICU, and ED populations
- Assess, implement, monitor, and document respiratory therapy plans per physician orders
- Administer therapies (bronchodilators, humidification, oxygen, aerosolized meds) and perform chest physiotherapy and airway clearance techniques
- Manage ventilated patients, adjust ventilator settings as ordered, and monitor patient response
- Perform ABG collection and interpretation; provide timely clinical updates to the care team
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians; participate in patient/family education as appropriate
- Complete Epic documentation from the bedside; participate in unit operations as assigned

Requirements
- Vermont state licensure as a respiratory care practitioner (RCP) required
- Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligible to take NBRC written exam; NBRC verification required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP; PALS preferred
- NICU experience within the last year; ICU and ED experience on the patient population
- Epic experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to float to Medical/Surgical, Emergency Department units; work in a 25-bed CAH setting
- Flexible to work 12-hour night shifts; weekend requirements apply; patient population spans all ages
