Electrical Technician

Compensation: $27.00 to $32.00 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: 1st shift, Monday through Friday About the Role This is a small, entrepreneurial equipment manufacturer with a long-standing customer base and a team that takes real ownership of their work. The company is hiring an Engineering Technician to support production, service, and engineering teams across a hands‑on, cross‑departmental role. You will be working directly with equipment, performing electrical troubleshooting, installations, and field service support. Travel is minimal, roughly 10% of the time. Responsibilities Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment as the primary focus of the role, both in‑house and in the field Complete wiring, rewiring, and electrical work on production and manufacturing equipment Read and interpret wiring schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints Conduct equipment installations at customer sites, ensuring proper electrical setup, calibration, and handoff Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during field service calls, providing timely and effective solutions Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in support of electrical work Assist with prototype assembly, equipment builds, and recalibration of existing machinery Perform routine preventive maintenance with a focus on electrical systems and components Document service work, installation notes, and equipment configurations accurately Support production, service, and engineering departments on a cross‑functional basis as needed Will be trained as the backup machinist, with hands‑on development provided for the right candidate Requirements High school diploma required; an Associate's degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Electronics, or a related field is preferred Electrical certifications are a plus Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with hands‑on experience wiring and working with electrical systems and equipment Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints Mechanical aptitude and hands‑on mechanical skills are a plus Machining knowledge is a plus but not required; hands‑on training will be provided Military background is a strong plus Team‑oriented, open to learning, and willing to adapt as the company grows No corporate resume required; the right attitude, work ethic, and reliability matter most Self‑starter mentality with an entrepreneurial mindset.
