Job Description Job Description We are seeking a reliable and experienced Handyman to maintain and repair an older commercial or residential building. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance, troubleshooting building systems, and ensuring the property remains safe and operational. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform general building repairs and preventative maintenance. Repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, faucets, toilets, and minor pipe issues. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues such as outlets, switches, lighting, and breakers. Inspect, maintain, and coordinate repairs for boiler systems and heating equipment. Monitor, test, and perform basic maintenance on fire alarm and security alarm systems. Repair doors, windows, locks, drywall, flooring, and other building components. Perform painting, patching, and minor carpentry work. Replace light bulbs, filters, and other building supplies as needed. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and service requests. Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs when necessary. Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of building maintenance or handyman experience preferred. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boilers, and alarm systems. Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Additional Requirements Must successfully pass a Tuberculosis (TB) test prior to employment. Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or comply with the company's COVID-19 testing requirements, if applicable. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
