We're seeking a Production Specialist to work at a premier manufacturing client in North Charleston, SC. Sound good? Take a closer look below. Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $19.50 per hour
Shift: 24 x 5 basis, shifts assignments are on a 12-hour basis, occasional overtime, weekends, and holiday coverage, site may run up to 24 x 7 schedule, willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, night shift position 6p-6a with rotating weekly schedule , site is currently work 5 days a week

What's a typical day as Production Specialist? You'll be:

• Operating automatic baggers, palletizers, hand-add stations, and fertilizer coating lines
• Supporting daily production tasks alongside Operator I and Lead Operator
• Loading and unloading trucks, and performing cycle counts of materials
• Maintaining a clean and organized packaging and production area
• Communicating effectively with other shifts, maintenance, and quality assurance personnel
• Serving as a production leader to ensure coating and blending processes run smoothly
• Troubleshooting equipment and process issues
• Promoting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Can lift up to 50 lbs and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Are comfortable performing cleaning and inspection tasks at heights between 15 and 30 feet
• Are willing and able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Possess strong communication and multitasking skills
• Demonstrate basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and computer proficiency
• Have at least 1 year of experience in manufacturing (preferred)
• Have forklift operation experience (required)
• Are experienced with industry-standard cleaning tools
• Are committed to maintaining a safety-focused work environment

Preferred qualifications that will set you apart:

• Prior experience with DCS/HMI systems
• Experience in inventory management
• Understanding of process control and production overview
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing practices
• Intermediate mechanical experience
