Composite Fabrication Specialist (Level B or C)

**Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)** is seeking **Composite Fabrication Specialists (Level B or C)** to assist with multiple areas of the 787 production system in **North Charleston, South Carolina** on a **variable shift!*** Safety: Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines to protect ourselves, our colleagues, and our workplace. Safety is non-negotiable and must be integrated into every task we perform.* Quality: Maintaining rigorous quality standards in all deliverables, ensuring that our work meets or exceeds expectations and complies with all regulatory and company requirements.* Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications.* Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment.* Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.* Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task performed.* Operate various mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).* Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers.* Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes.* Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris.* Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.* Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).* Lifting and carrying up to 10-35 pounds.* Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).* Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking.* Experience with conventional material layup, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools* Ability to obtain CNC Experience.* Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.* Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as flexion and extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).* Ability to lift/carry up to 10-35 pounds.* Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals using proper protective equipment provided.* Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, if required.* 1+ year experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.* 1+ year experience following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, along with successful completion of training and knowledge assessments involving mathematical calculations, all conducted in English.* 1+ year experience in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field, including equivalent military experience, performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools.* 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures.* 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.* 3+ years of CNC experience.* 3+ years of experience with conventional material layup, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools.* 3+ years of crane operations experience.* 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematic and diagrams in aviation.* Please review every aspect of your application carefully prior to submitting to ensure accuracy.* If you have formal education or military experience in the field you are applying for please include that time in your total years of experience.* Prior to uploading your resume, please ensure it is in one of the following formats: DOC, DOCX, PDF, or TXT.* Use your most accurate contact information on your application to include your full address. #J-18808-Ljbffr Boeing
