Set and review annual CRM targets for the rental sales team. Complete annual assessments of rental representative competencies and create action plans for improvement. Assist with enterprise rental book and customer‑specific pricing. Analyze rental opportunities for new products. Understand and utilize profit and loss statements. Assist credit manager with aging accounting status of customers and help with past‑due accounts. Review the monthly slow rent report and recommend action items. Review monthly reports with the General Manager. Perform administrative duties assigned by the General Manager. Communicate with sales, marketing and other areas as needed. Maintain an organized process for tracking and managing daily, weekly and monthly tasks. Communicate large project and customer opportunities and other relevant data. Coach salesmen on standards of performance regarding territory coverage and planning, sales call expectations, equipment applications, and problem solving. Coach Branch Managers on territory management and overcoming obstacles. Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers. Share relevant information to increase effectiveness with the team and customers. Communicate in a professional manner to foster effective interaction with others. Maintain a proactive and creative posture to increase rental sales activity. Foster relationships with Allied vendors. Develop and execute plans for achieving PRRO and customer growth targets. Achieve annual rental and sales revenue targets. Pass sales leads to the equipment sales department through Saleslink. Work with Regional Sales Managers on rental pricing, problem solving and customer events. Make key customer visits to maintain relationships. Complete ride‑alongs with Rental Representatives regularly. Possess strong working knowledge of SalesLink, iRental, iRental Mobile and DBS. Maintain a technical knowledge and application of all rental products. Have working knowledge of Wagner Rents and Wagner Equipment rental processes. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct reports may include Denver Area Rental & Key Account Representatives. Review and provide input for annual performance evaluations for direct reports and branch Rental Representatives. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. College Degree Preferred. Prior management experience in the rental equipment industry working with an outside sales force and branch personnel. 5+ years administrative/clerical experience. 5+ years customer service experience. 5+ years sales experience. 5+ years supervisory/management experience. Physical Demands & Competencies Standing, walking, talking, sitting; use of hands & hearing. Squatting/Kneeling. Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, etc. Medium work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 32 pounds or more. Data entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills. Safety & product knowledge; advanced level product knowledge; advanced sales leadership skills; advanced knowledge of rental market pricing; basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Work Environment Noise: Loud. Indoors and outdoors. Specific risks: Possible exposure to toxic chemicals; working with moving, mechanical parts; exposed to vibration. Travel Requirements 50 – 75% travel.
