**Experience and Qualifications** - 2 years of experience required - Prior travel experience is required - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred - Community Hospital Experience: Preferred - Travel Experience: Required - LTAC Experience: Not applicable - Trauma Level I & II Experience: Not applicable - Charting System Experience: Preferred (Allscripts) - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC - Charting: Altera experience preferred, not required - Travel experience preferred **Skills** - Abdominal pain, Acute psychosis*, Arterial line management*, Asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management - Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management - Chest tube insertion/management, Continuous IV paralytics, Continuous IV sedation - CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Drug overdose*, Emergency Medications - General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, Head injury*, Hyperglycemia* - Identify/Report neglect or abuse*, Infection*, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)* - Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Intubation, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors - Manage/apply splints, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Managing violent behavior, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Ortho trauma, Phlebotomy - Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Psychiatric Hold, Respiratory infection* - Seizures*, Starting and maintaining IVs, STEMI Certified Facility* - Stroke Certified Facility*, Suicidal patient, Triage, Urinary Tract Infection* **Licensure and Compliance** - License in hand required with submittal - Certification verification required - Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, includes Marijuana - Local Radius: RN/LVN: 150 miles, Allied/CNA: 50 miles - Local Rule: not accepted - Return traveler Status: Previous perm staff must be gone 1 year to return **Shift and Scheduling** - 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (weekends are Saturday and/or Sunday) - One on-call shift per 6-week schedule **Compliance and Documentation** - Hard document due date: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start - Modules completed during orientation (6-8 hours, non-billable) - Labs: Must complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
