Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency room setting, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs. Lead patient education efforts and oversee ancillary staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and continuously monitor progress throughout shifts.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions according to protocols.
• Educate patients and families on condition management, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Supervise and collaborate with ancillary personnel to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active Iowa RN licensure.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Possess strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical skills.
• Preferably have prior experience in emergency nursing, but new grads are welcome to apply.
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
