Assistant Store Manager

Job Details Job Location: Trailer World-458 Oklahoma City OK - Oklahoma City, OK 73108 Position Type: Full Time Summary Assist the Store Manager in day‑to‑day operations and achieving critical metrics including safety, sales, parts & service growth, customer experience and overall profitability. Lead the sales team to grow trailer & truck bed sales. Competencies Company: Focused on the Customer, Driven for Results, Integrity & Values Position Specific: Team Building, Business Knowledge, Time Management, Sales Negotiation, and Leadership Key Accountabilities Drive Store Revenue – Own sales results through supervising the sales team to meet and exceed personal and team revenue, unit, and margin goals. Assist the Store Manager in driving total revenue, trailer sales, service revenue, parts revenue & ancillary revenue, with special emphasis on trailer & truck bed sales. Customer Service – Lead the team to foster an environment of accountability for customer service, owning customer review results. Actively demonstrate customer focus, recommend problem resolution, and build customer brand loyalty through exemplary service with a smile. Control Expenses – Reinforce company directives, policies and procedures for inventory control, supply purchasing, labor, and other controllable expenses. Safety & Security – Lead by example and ensure a safe & secure store environment for all employees, customers, and visitors. Monitor safety equipment maintenance and ensure it is used as designed. Train employees on safety policies, practices and compliance. Inventory – Maintain an ongoing analysis of trailer and truck bed inventory to ensure the right levels are on order. Communicate inventory flow to staff. Qualifications Required Education, Experience and Credentials High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Prior sales experience Valid Driver’s License Supervisory experience Preferred Education and Experience Associate’s degree 3–5 years supervisory experience in a retail or sales environment 3–5 years of sales experience Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Tasks are regularly performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, chemicals, and traffic hazards. Physical Demands Talk, hear, read, write, understand, and communicate by telephone and in person using the English language. Read written instructions, parts lists, technical manuals, and diagrams. Frequent use of hands for typing, 10‑key operation, telephone dialing; regular use of hands for feeling, grasping, or manipulating objects, tools, or controls. Occasional use of hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Regular sit, stand, walk, occasionally climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl over uneven surfaces. Frequent lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Regular operation of computers, cash register, telephone, and printer/copier/scanner/fax. Regular operation of automobiles, tractors, forklifts, and other power equipment. Work Hours This is a full‑time position. Work week is Monday through Saturday (except company holidays). 40 hours per week or more. Travel Regular local travel by vehicle.
