Lineman Journeyman (Paradise Valley)

Summary APS has an immediate opening for a Journeyman Lineman on our Paradise Valley Crew. Work hours Monday‑Friday 5:00 AM‑1:30 PM (hours may change in winter). Responsibilities Perform maintenance and construction work on 4 kV to 21 kV distribution lines. Climb poles and perform inspections using climbing equipment. Operate aerial equipment and handle tools/gear weighing 300 lb or less. Respond to callouts and work overtime as required. Pass written and hands‑on exams, and demonstrate required climbing skills. Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D. Completed a Registered Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program or an equivalent training program approved by APS T&D Technical & Safety Training, plus one year of experience as a Journeyman Lineman. Valid manual‑transmission Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) meeting all DOT requirements. Experience working on distribution lines of 4 kV to 21 kV and related equipment. Must live within a reasonable distance (one hour) of headquarters. Must pass written and hands‑on exams and demonstrate climbing skills. Reasonable overtime and subject to callouts. Must work with aerial equipment with a weight restriction of 300 lb or less.
