Procurement Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our Procurement team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting supplier engagement, contract management, and the bidding process for small-scale projects. This internship offers valuable exposure to core procurement activities within a dynamic business environment and provides the opportunity to develop essential skills in sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management. Job responsibilities Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers in alignment with specific project requirements, ensuring optimal selection and value. Support the bidding process for small-scale projects, including comprehensive documentation management, archiving, and effective vendor coordination. Prepare and process purchase orders and related procurement documentation in accordance with established procedures. Maintain and update procurement records, contract files, and supplier databases by category to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Contribute to supplier relationship management initiatives to foster long-term, strategic partnerships. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization. Assist with contract administration, compliance verification, and adherence to internal procurement policies. Analyze procurement spend data to identify and recommend cost optimization strategies. Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Procurement Senior Manager to support departmental objectives. Profile Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
