Full-time, onsite | Compensation: $20.00
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with one assigned half day during the week. No weekends.

We’re looking for an Optometric Technician who enjoys working with people, pays attention to details, and is excited to learn clinical skills. You’ll help patients prepare for their eye exams and support our doctors in keeping the day running smoothly.

Previous medical or optical experience is welcome, but it isn’t required. We’re willing to train someone who brings a positive attitude, dependability, and a caring approach.

What you’ll do:

With training and guidance from our clinical team, you’ll:

• Welcome patients into the clinical area and prepare them for their eye examinations.
• Gather and accurately document medical and vision histories.
• Explain testing procedures and help patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
• Perform preliminary testing, including auto-refraction, lensometry, eye-pressure testing, retinal imaging, visual fields, and other diagnostic imaging as applicable.
• Record test results accurately in the patient record.
• Assist the optometrist during examinations and scribe when needed.
• Reinforce the doctor’s recommendations and assist with handoffs to the optical team.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms, restock supplies, and care for diagnostic equipment.
• Communicate delays and coordinate with the front desk to support timely patient flow.
• Help teammates and assist with patient calls as needed.

You’ll report to the Clinical Care team lead.

• The ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a busy office.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn electronic patient records and diagnostic equipment.
• Punctuality, reliability, and a proactive approach to teamwork.
• A high school diploma or GED.

Previous medical, optical, or technician experience is preferred but not required. Experience in hospitality or another role involving frequent customer interaction can also provide a strong foundation.

This role involves frequent patient interaction, standing for extended periods, operating diagnostic equipment, and working closely with the doctor and clinical team.
