Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Electrical Installer/Foreman to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will perform all duties pertaining to the installation of structure wiring for various low voltage systems. Installing cable infrastructures for security systems. Intercommunication systems, AV systems, Catv, nurse call systems and tele data. Install devices, terminate, troubleshooting, testing, communication room build out. Daily duties will be working in team environment, ability to work from schematic designs and supporting manuals. As team we all support safety minded culture daily on all our customer sites. As an Electrical Installer, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows. In this role, you will be responsible for installing structured wiring for variety of low voltage systems. Including such systems for Nurse Call, Teledata, Intercom, and Av are some examples. Responsibilities will include pulling structure wiring on ladders and lifts, installing and terminating devices. Troubleshooting/testing/and documenting installations. Responsible building out communication rooms, understanding schematic drawings, specification pertaining to jobsite. Candidate should be able to report job progress and maintain target dates for completion. Candidate should be able to lead their team and accomplish goals and work with Field Supervisor in all aspects of job including maintaining safe work practices.

• Experience installing and wiring some of these systems TeleData, access control, CCTV, Audio/Video, Nurse Call, Intercom

• Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.
• Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
• Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.
• Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., work with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).

What You'll Need

• Proficient construction skills and understanding of system plans.
• Excellent understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
• Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted.
• Excellent customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. work with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings, solid math skills.

Requirements:

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 5-7 years relevant and previous construction including some level of electrical or a low voltage background

Preferred Experience: (but not required):

• Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic/electrical, fire alarm & life safety, data-cable installation and/or building automation
