Clinical Supervisor

Description Gateway Rehab is hiring a Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical leadership, support therapy staff development, and ensure the quality and compliance of clinical documentation across our continuum of care. This role is instrumental in maintaining ethical, evidence-based treatment practices and upholding regulatory and accreditation standards within inpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Co-Occurring treatment programs. Why This Role is Important to SUD Treatment As a Clinical Supervisor, you'll help lead and support the life-changing work that takes place across GRC every day. By providing supervision, guidance, and quality oversight, you help ensure patients receive ethical, effective, and evidence-based treatment. Your leadership directly supports therapist growth, strengthens treatment quality, and helps create positive outcomes for individuals overcoming substance use and co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities: Provide weekly individual and monthly group clinical supervision to therapists, ensuring adherence to best practices in SUD and Co-Occurring Disorders treatment. Review, audit, and approve clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards, including documentation quality, medical necessity, and timeliness. Provide clinical guidance, case consultation, and support for complex or high-risk cases. Monitor therapist performance and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and professional development. Collaborate with the Program Clinical Manager to ensure consistency in therapeutic feedback and clinical expectations. Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Identify training needs and support clinical education initiatives. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Conduct weekly chart audits for each therapist's caseload. What You Bring Strong knowledge of documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based treatment practices. In-depth understanding of Substance Use Disorder and Co-Occurring Disorders treatment. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to provide effective clinical supervision, coaching, and professional development. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and clinical excellence. Requirements What Do We Require? Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Active clinical licensure, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent. Minimum of three to five years of clinical experience in SUD and/or Co-Occurring Disorders treatment, preferably in an inpatient or residential setting. Prior clinical supervision experience required. Completion of the DDAP Clinical Supervision Training (CST) within first year of employment. Preferred Qualifications Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). Experience conducting chart audits and utilization reviews. Familiarity with ASAM Criteria and trauma-informed care practices. Ability to balance administrative oversight with supportive clinical leadership. Additional Requirements Pass a PA Criminal Background Check. Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances. Pass a Drug Screen. Complete a 2-Step TB Test. What Are the Work Conditions? Facility treating individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders. Work requires sustained focus, concentration, and the ability to remain alert and attentive. Minimal physical demands.
