Preschool Teacher - Three Year Old Program

Summary New Haven Pre K is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team for our Three Year Old Program. This part‑time position offers an opportunity to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to early childhood education, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development in children aged three years. Hours The expected hours will be 8:45 am-11:45 pm. Two classes expected, M/W, T/TH. Hired through third Party Vendor - Edustaff Responsibilities Develop and implement age‑appropriate lesson plans that promote exploration and learning through play. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to support the growth of each child. Observe and assess children’s progress and development, providing feedback to parents and caregivers. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute engaging activities and special events. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space that reflects the interests and needs of the children. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise. Adhere to all safety and health regulations, ensuring a safe learning environment for all children. Requirements Preferred Bachelor in Early Childhood Education. Associate in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Valid Center-Based Birth to Five CDA credential. Valid Center-Based Preschool CDA credential with experience considered. Prior experience working with preschool‑aged children, particularly in a classroom setting. Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and families. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture. Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
