Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant needed in Pennsylvania for ongoing inpatient, on call coverage supporting the heart team in surgery, with nights and weekends as the core coverage. Highlights Ongoing need through permanent hire, starting late October 2026 Primarily on call coverage for nights and weekends, with weekday call possible Inpatient adult service supporting cardiothoracic surgery cases Temp privileges available for qualified clinicians Practice Setting Inpatient coverage for an adult cardiothoracic surgery service Support role for the heart team in surgery, cardiothoracic surgery experience required Weekend expectations include rounding Saturday and Sunday, with subsequent on call coverage Support staff includes Level 2 trauma resources Schedule Call coverage, nights and weekends, with possible weekday call Call is when needed, call ratio varies based on coverage needs Ongoing coverage needed as soon as credentialed, continuing until a permanent hire is in place Cases and Procedures Pre op physical exams, coordination of care, rounding Chest tube insertions, suture removal Order tests and interpret results, diagnose and treat illnesses Assist in surgery, write prescriptions Requirements Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
