Role Description The Benefits Advisor role is a full-time hybrid position based in Middletown, NY, with some flexibility for work from home. The Benefits Advisor will educate employers and employees about Aflac's supplemental insurance solutions, helping them understand available plans and select coverage that meets their needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting consultations, presenting benefits options, supporting enrollment processes, and providing ongoing customer service to policyholders and business clients. The role also involves building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, coordinating benefits training sessions, and meeting sales and service goals. The Benefits Advisor will collaborate with internal teams to stay informed about product updates, compliance requirements, and best practices for benefits communication. Qualifications Knowledge of employee benefits and insurance products, with the ability to explain plan features and coverage options clearly. Strong customer service and training skills to support employers and employees through enrollment and benefits education. Sales abilities, including prospecting, relationship building, and closing, ideally in insurance or related fields. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation and interpersonal capabilities. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time and priorities in a hybrid work environment. Comfort with basic digital tools and CRM or sales tracking systems. Previous experience in benefits, insurance, sales, or financial services is preferred but not required.
