Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Third Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients presenting with trauma, injury, and acute medical conditions requiring urgent treatment
• Care for a diverse patient population with medical, mental health, and chemical dependency needs
• Deliver specialized care across neurology, cardiac, and mental health presentations within the emergency department
• Maintain a patient ratio of 3:1 across all shifts
• Document patient care accurately using Epic (Excellian) electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license — Minnesota license in hand preferred; pending licensure candidates must initiate MN licensure upon offer acceptance
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and TNCC
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Fingerprinting/LiveScan background check required per Minnesota state law; must be completed as early as possible as results may take 1 day to 3–4 weeks

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level 3 Trauma or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with neurology, cardiac, and mental health patient populations in an emergency setting
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
