Operations Manager

Position Summary The Operations Manager is a member of the site leadership team and has accountability for safety, quality, and productivity of the Operations organization at the Silver Peak site. The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading an organization of approximately 30 personnel. The position requires a range of management and technical skills and a thorough understanding of plant systems, processes, policies, and procedures. What You Will Do Drive compliance to Albemarle Standards, Environmental regulations, MSHA regulations and HSE policies Create and maintain a respectful and inclusive work environment and maintain Albemarle’s core values Develop and lead implementation of the strategic direction for Operations Provide leadership and direction for the operating areas including daily production execution to plan Provide leadership and guidance for meeting cost, yield and quality requirements Drive Operational Discipline and Manufacturing Excellence Lead the organization to drive incident investigations to root cause and implement corrective actions using the hierarchy of control Coach and develop direct reports and cultivate an atmosphere of learning and development Develop and maintain Operations KPIs to drive data‑based decision making and improvements Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives What You Bring (Required) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 5+ years of leadership experience in a chemical manufacturing environment Demonstrated influential leadership skills Strong facilitation and communication skills Experience coaching and developing others Strong problem‑solving skills Ability to work effectively in teams and with individuals at all levels within an organization Preferred Prior manufacturing experience, including Line Leadership Knowledge of Process Safety Management Experience with MSHA compliance Lean Management or Six Sigma Green Belt certification Knowledge of HR process, procedures, and policies Benefits of Joining Albemarle Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
