Brake Press Operator

Overview We are growing and increasing our headcount at L &E Engineering. Press Brake Operators will work in a routine, climate‑controlled clean manufacturing facility and will be part of an aerospace business that continues to grow on record work levels. The role includes on‑the‑job training in the exciting aerospace field. The ideal candidate will be a self‑starter with proven experience in a manufacturing environment. Schedule 1st shift: Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Overtime daily and Fridays (Mon‑Thurs until 5:30 pm; Friday 6:00 am – 11 am) currently running OT until headcount is completed Posted Monday mornings for that week. No last‑minute OT demands! Responsibilities Perform various manufacturing operations (material handling, deburr, marking, or rivet). Read and interpret specifications, manuals, assembly blueprints, and schematics to plan building or assembly operations. Verify functioning and conformance to customer specification and machine capabilities by conducting quality control checks. Use precision measuring tools during assembly. Form bend angles on aerospace components to very close tolerances using a manual press brake. Set up manual form operations per work instructions. Perform troubleshooting and rework of production items as needed. Work from complex and detailed blueprints or verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision. Possess basic computer knowledge. Demonstrate the ability to multi‑task. Act as a self‑starter. Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or GED (proof required upon hiring). Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. Basic computer skills. Great hand‑eye coordination. Ability to multi‑task. Good work ethic. Self‑starter. Willingness to learn. Good attendance. Position Demands Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds on a daily basis. Ability to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc. Successful passage of vision screens. Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
