Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Device RN is responsible for independently managing implanted cardiac rhythm management devices, including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders, within an outpatient clinic setting. The role involves providing specialized patient care for adult cardiac patients with implanted monitors, ensuring device functionality and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and assess cardiac device function through technical management and troubleshooting.
• Educate patients on device operation and post-implant care protocols.
• Record and analyze cardiac rhythm data, ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, cardiac devices, and rhythm management standards.
• Comply with certification requirements and adhere to safety protocols during patient interactions.

Qualifications:

• Valid BLS certification is required.
• Successful completion of a pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent clinical experience.
• EPIC EMR experience within the last 2 years is mandatory.
• Knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology.
• Preferred certifications include CCDS and CDRMS.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
