What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 
  High School diploma, GED, or HSED
  
  



• 
  Nurse Aide in good standing on the State Registry
  
  



• 
  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days of hire

  Basic computer skills

What You Will Do

As a Nursing Assistant on the Clinical Resource Unit, you will provide essential support to the RN and care team, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery across a variety of patient populations.

Patient Care Support

• 
  Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and positioning
  
  



• 
  Support patient mobility using assistive devices and proper transfer techniques
  
  



• 
  Record and document vital signs, intake/output, daily weights, and other patient data
  
  



• 
  Perform purposeful rounding and communicate patient needs promptly to the RN
  
  

Patient Flow & Unit Support

• 
  Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes
  
  



• 
  Prepare patient rooms, manage belongings, and remove/replace linens
  
  



• 
  Ensure call lights are accessible and respond promptly to patient needs
  
  

Clinical Tasks

• 
  Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens using proper identification and labeling procedures
  
  



• 
  Perform point-of-care testing as required
  
  



• 
  Under RN direction, may assist with:
  
  
  
  
  
  • 
    IV removal
    
    
  
  
  
  • 
    Bladder scans
    
    
  
  
  
  • 
    Post-mortem care
    
    
  
  
  
  
  

Daily Operations & Support

• 
  Complete errands including transport of trays, charts, specimens, and reports
  
  



• 
  Maintain, clean, and stock patient care areas and equipment
  
  



• 
  Support nutritional needs including tray setup/removal and proper patient positioning
  
  



• 
  Maintain skin integrity through repositioning and appropriate care
  
  



• 
  Ensure availability and proper use of supplies such as TED hose and compression devices
  
  

Infection Control & Safety

• 
  Follow infection prevention policies including hand hygiene and PPE use
  
  



• 
  Demonstrate knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques
  
  



• 
  Dispose of contaminated materials according to protocol
  
  

Teamwork & Patient Experience

• 
  Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and teammates
  
  



• 
  Communicate effectively with the care team regarding patient status and needs

Education & Certification Requirements

• 
  Maintain required annual certifications and competencies (e.g., DNV, CARF, or system requirements)
