Preferred Location: Onsite Dallas, Texas About the Role Cyient Inc. is seeking an experienced US Controller to lead the finance and accounting function for Cyient Inc. and its U.S. subsidiaries. Specialized in the Engineering and IT sector. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, statutory and regulatory compliance, tax coordination, treasury oversight, and effective financial partnership across North American operations. The US Controller will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting business growth, strengthening financial controls, and improving operational and financial performance. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Close Management Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements for U.S. entities. Review balance-sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of open items. Coordinate reporting requirements with Cyient Limited's corporate finance team. Support consolidated reporting under IFRS and Ind-AS requirements, where applicable. Ensure compliance with group accounting policies. Present quarterly financial reporting packages for Cyient Inc. and its subsidiaries to the Board of Directors. Controllership and Governance Maintain a strong internal-control framework across finance and accounting processes. Ensure adherence to the delegated authority matrix, company policies, and financial procedures. Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, reporting, and controls. Support the implementation and monitoring of SOX controls, where applicable. Lead remediation efforts related to audit findings, control deficiencies, and compliance gaps. Audit Management Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, internal auditors, and regulatory reviews. Coordinate audit schedules, documentation, and information requests. Ensure timely resolution and closure of audit findings. Revenue and Contract Accounting Review accounting treatment for complex customer contracts. Partner with business and commercial teams to ensure appropriate revenue recognition. Support contract reviews from accounting, compliance, and financial-risk perspectives. Provide accounting guidance for large transactions, acquisitions, restructuring activities, and strategic deals. Tax and Regulatory Compliance Coordinate with external tax advisors regarding federal taxes, state filings, sales and use taxes, and transfer-pricing requirements. Support tax-provision calculations and year-end reporting. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and regulatory requirements. Treasury and Cash Management Manage banking relationships and cash-flow forecasting. Monitor working-capital performance and liquidity requirements. Oversee cash management, intercompany settlements, and liquidity planning. Support the monitoring of foreign-exchange exposure. Business Partnership Partner with North American business leaders to improve profitability and operational performance. Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. Analyze margins, utilization, cost performance, working capital, and business risks. Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities. Mergers, Acquisitions, and Strategic Initiatives Support financial due diligence for potential acquisitions. Lead finance integration activities for acquired businesses. Evaluate the accounting implications of corporate transactions. Participate in finance transformation, process improvement, and automation initiatives. Lead, coach, and develop accounting and finance professionals across North America. Establish performance objectives, development plans, and succession strategies. Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent professional qualification required. MBA preferred. Experience 10-15 years of progressive finance, accounting, and controllership experience. Demonstrated experience working within a multinational organization. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Experience managing external audits, internal audits, and complex accounting matters. Experience in technology, engineering services, consulting, or professional-services organizations preferred. Experience supporting acquisitions, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration is desirable. Preferred Skills Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
