Job Summary:
A Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) is sought to provide comprehensive bedside care on a Medical Surgical floor in Detroit, Michigan. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing direct patient care for assigned individuals on a daily basis. The nurse will oversee staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective nursing care. The position supports the facility's Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining staff competency and optimal resource management to promote excellent patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), valid in Michigan; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred; at least 1 year of clinical experience in a Medical Surgical setting; excellent communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); experience with electronic medical records systems.
• Additional Information: The Med Surg Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, supervising staff, and supporting quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
