Swissvale Farmers Market Board Member

The client is seeking up to three committed and skilled individuals to join their all-volunteer board. Successful candidates will ideally be current or new customers who are passionate about the importance of local healthy foods for community success. The board convenes informally on a monthly basis to oversee market operations. Those with interest or experience in volunteer coordination, fundraising, administrative responsibilities, social media promotion, or vendor recruitment will be prioritized. Board members are required to attend monthly meetings, which last up to 1.5 hours on a designated weeknight from January through November. Members are also expected to shop regularly at the market, actively contribute to its improvement, and volunteer for market set-up and tear down as needed.
