Heavy Equipment Field Technicians

Job Description

Do you live in Raleigh or wanting to move to Raleigh? Gpac is working with a long-standing client who is searching for an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Technician to join a strong team servicing construction and heavy equipment in the field.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and getting equipment back up and running on-site.


Duties:

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and field repairs on excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, and other heavy equipment
• Use diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Complete service documentation and work orders
• Operate a service truck and travel to customer job sites
• Communicate directly with customers regarding repairs and equipment status

Requirements:

• 3+ years of heavy equipment repair experience
• Strong background in diesel, hydraulics, electrical, and diagnostics
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field
• Good communication and organizational skills
• CDL or ability to obtain one is a plus
