We're seeking dependable and detail-oriented Wire Cutters to join a fast-paced warehouse team in Katy, TX 77494 . This is a 3-month contract position paying $20.50 per hour , with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs. In this role, you'll accurately measure, cut, label, and stage electrical wire and cable according to customer orders while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing strenuous physical work in a warehouse environment, can work in hot conditions, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to following safety procedures and meeting production goals.

Schedule

• Days: Monday – Friday
• Shift: 1:00 PM – 10:30 PM (or until work is complete)
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret pick tickets and cut labels.
• Accurately measure and cut wire to specified lengths using manual or automated wire-cutting equipment.
• Label cut wire with the correct part number, length, and customer order information.
• Inspect wire for defects, damage, or inconsistencies before staging.
• Meet daily productivity and accuracy standards.
• Safely operate wire-cutting machines, reels, and material handling equipment.
• Stage completed orders for consolidation, verification, and shipping.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, including required PPE and lockout/tagout procedures when applicable.
• Report machine issues, material shortages, or quality concerns to leadership.
• Assist with inventory handling, restocking, and reel changes as needed.
• Work overtime and flexible hours when required to support business needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform strenuous physical work throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with heat exposure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, pick tickets, and labels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to successfully complete an interview prior to hire.

Dress Code & PPE

• Pants or shorts must have belt loops .
• Steel-toe boots are required.
