Role Description The Mice Groups is looking for the best and brightest Business Development / Account Managers to join our team. Our team is made up of dynamic, highly motivated individuals who are committed to developing new clients in and around the Bay Area. The Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid, on-site role based in San Mateo, CA. This role is responsible for initiating, developing, managing, and growing client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include business development activities such as market research and planning, lead generation, and prospecting; account management activities such as understanding client staffing needs, coordinating with internal recruiting teams, overseeing candidate submissions, and monitoring placement outcomes and performance. The Account Manager will regularly conduct client meetings, prepare status reports, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for additional services or expanded engagements. This role also involves collaborating with leadership to develop account plans, maintaining accurate records in the CRM (Bullhorn), and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and client satisfaction. Qualifications Business Development skills, including leading sales initiatives by identifying new business opportunities through cold calling and networking. Client relationship management skills, including experience serving as a trusted point of contact and managing multiple accounts or stakeholders. Background in staffing, recruiting, or talent acquisition, with the ability to understand job requirements and match them to candidate profiles. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for interacting with clients, candidates, and internal teams. Organizational and time-management skills, including managing competing priorities and maintaining accurate documentation and reports. Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address client challenges, track performance metrics, and propose effective solutions. Proficiency with CRM or applicant tracking systems and standard office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office). Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site environment in San Mateo, CA, with a focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.
