Title: Slab Crew Leader

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: ODC Construction is seeking a Slab Crew Leader to lead and manage our slab crew on construction sites. This role is crucial to ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality execution of slab foundation work. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in slab construction, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering projects with precision and excellence.

Reports to: Crew Leader, Director of Construction

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

• Lead and supervise the slab crew to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality slab foundation installation.

• Oversee all aspects of slab preparation, including site grading, formwork, reinforcement, and pouring.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align goals and manage schedules.

• Ensure all slab-related materials are handled and stored properly to avoid delays.

• Conduct safety meetings, ensuring that the crew follows OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times.

• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues to ensure timely completion of tasks.

• Ensure the proper setup of forms, reinforcement, and pouring equipment to achieve optimal results.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.

• Foster a positive, productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and accountability among crew members.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

• Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs., with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
