Job Title: Mill Machinist III - 3rd Shift Reporting To: Management, General Manufacturing & Operations Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog is the world-wide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. At least 4 years of relevant experience as a Mill Machinist in a manufacturing setting. In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position. As a Mill Machinist III, you will: Perform a complete range of milling operations on all types of material using vertical mills, and tracer-type milling machines. Set up and operate a vertical mill. Make all set-ups using specified equipment. Occasionally develop new methods and machining techniques. Interpret drawings, occasionally work without operation sheets, and make difficult layouts. Need to work, at times, with minimum guidance. Inspect all work performed and detect unusual conditions, defective materials, and defective parts using different inspection equipment and processes. Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $30.00–$36.00 Hourly Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
