Job Description:The RoleThis is a full-time Accounting Analyst role based in Dallas, Texas. You’ll be part of our team primarily responsible for the accounting and reporting functions for the Sixth Street Management Companies. We’re looking for someone bright, hard-working, and eager to grow with us.Core ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycleAssist in performing a detailed monthly review of all P&L activity by Business UnitAssist with process to produce financial reporting deliverables for external partiesAssist with process to produce financial reporting deliverables for managementAssist with expense allocation close process including reviewing and analyzing all expenses booked, and understanding the related allocation methodologies of these expenses to the management companiesAssist with employee allocations processInteract with different departments in the firm including Deal Team, Fund Accounting, IT, Operations, Compliance, Financial Planning & Strategy, Tax, and Accounts PayableHelp develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processesContinuously identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by determining best practiceManage and perform special projects and analysis for leadershipWhat We ValueQualified candidates should possess an Accounting or Finance degree and have 2-4 years of relevantexperienceStrong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principlesProfessional certifications are a plus (CPA or equivalent)Big 4 public accounting experience preferredExperience with alternative investments and management company accounting preferredAlteryx experience preferredPreferredCandidate should be well versed in Excel and have G/L and reporting experienceCandidate must possess strong technical, organizational, communication (both oral and written) and analytical skillsStrong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practicesCandidate must possess project management skills in order prioritize and focus when various work streams are occurring concurrentlyDetail-oriented, responsible and proactiveAbout Sixth StreetFounded in 2009, Sixth Street is a leading global investment firm dedicated to developing themes and offering solutions to companies across all stages of growth.Our firm is designed for cross-platform collaboration at scale: we build businesses, invest for growth, acquire assets, provide direct financing, identify value in public markets, purchase royalty streams, and regularly develop first-of-their-kind structures to meet the strategic objectives of management teams.We do all this globally and as one unified team of investment and control-side professionals working on behalf of our institutional investors and their beneficiaries around the world.Sixth Street is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer.
