Senior Technical Program Manager

Demonstrated track record of strategic thinking and creative problem solving at a high level. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and to budget, and to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment. Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally and with management at all levels. Strong technical, problem-solving and quantitative skills. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Supercharge human creativity, productivity, and communication with AI (including Generative AI) across Communication and Time Management products in Workspace. We are a Applied AI team working closely with Gmail, Chat, Calendar and Tasks team to reimagine these products from the ground up for the Agentic AI era. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the AI user experience, working across a range of components in the stack, including GenAI models, quality, cost, evaluation and more. US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits Responsibilities Establish a reliable and visible cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and resource stewardship (effective deployment of machine and people resources) whereby improvements such as efficiency and utilization gains are measurable and the impact can be felt organization wide. Seek out and identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity and which affect multiple teams. Own and guide high-impact AI projects from requirements through launch, including defining requirements, identifying dependencies, managing project schedules, and performing risk management. Identify trends and themes among project and team issues, and drive root-cause analysis with the engineering, product, and UX teams. Own and enable teams to make tradeoff decisions on quality, cost and latency and facilitate continuous quality hillclimbing.
