Millions rely on our leading brands – Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, and Glucerna®. Location: Columbus, Ohio. Role: Inside Sales Representative in the Pediatric Nutrition Sales team. Assignment duration: 12 to 24 months, designed to accelerate high‑performing internal sales representatives into Abbott Nutrition Field Sales. Inside Sales represents a collaborative partner with the field sales force to drive AN business, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals through service, support and education aligned with sales and marketing strategies. Relocation to cities throughout the country is required for most positions; assistance provided. Responsibilities Sell Abbott Nutrition’s portfolio of products to various market segments, analyzing facility needs and educating healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes. Address each customer’s unique needs, providing appropriate solutions based on interests. Sell products ethically and in accordance with the company’s sales process and marketing strategy. Make compelling and persuasive sales calls to designated customers, resulting in product sales. Maximize revenue and market share, achieving or exceeding sales targets. Build, maintain and leverage relationships with existing Abbott customers during short‑ and long‑term field territory vacancies. Assist in the training and development of sales representatives. Develop effective selling skills through prospecting, inbound response, and outbound calls to field customer account locations. Implement and maintain internal systems for effectiveness. Accountability / Scope / Budget Accountable for a targeted number of healthcare facilities as directed, ensuring a positive influence on product decisions of healthcare professionals. Must comply with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and federal regulations concerning Abbott products. Manage healthcare professionals’ concerns regarding products, patient education services, reimbursement issues, contract requirements and continuing education. Responsible for managing a territory budget, utilizing appropriate guidelines to maximize benefit to customer and Abbott. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required, preferred in Nutrition, Business, or Communication. Strong business acumen. Nutritional or science background preferred. Proven track record of success in product or relationship‑based sales. Demonstrated leadership and drive to achieve beyond expectations. Excellent customer relationship building skills. Strong communication, presentation, persuasiveness and active listening skills. Ability to work in a team environment, open to coaching and mentoring. Initiative and strong planning and time‑management skills. Strong interest in sales and ability to meet or exceed sales and activity quotas. Proficient in computer skills and use of sales databases. Ability to manage monthly budget responsibilities for product gratis and literature distribution. Demonstrated Abbott Leadership Core Competencies. Proactive self‑starter, capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced environment, sales‑focused to expand client relationships. Enthusiasm and passion are a must. Percent travel required: 10% – 30%.
