Responsibilities

- Deliver on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and enterprise server hardware, ensuring minimal customer downtime
- Diagnose and resolve hardware failures and system issues through effective troubleshooting
- Perform physical installation, removal, replacement, and repair of server components (memory, CPUs, power supplies, fans, drives, RAID/HBA, NICs, PCIe, GPUs, motherboards)
- Execute rack-and-stack, server installation, structured cabling, and hardware configuration in data center environments
- Conduct firmware and BIOS updates; utilize server management tools (iDRAC or similar) for monitoring and maintenance
- Carry out both reactive break/fix repairs and preventive maintenance following strict procedures
- Communicate directly with customers and internal teams during service events to ensure transparency and resolution
- Accurately document troubleshooting steps, service activities, and resolutions
- Escalate complex technical issues as necessary; participate in on-call rotations for extended coverage

Required Skills and Experience

- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience supporting enterprise server hardware or data center infrastructure
- Proven capability in diagnosing, repairing, installing, removing, and replacing server components
- In-depth understanding of server architecture, troubleshooting, and hardware diagnostics
- Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills in customer-facing environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., travel to customer sites, and support flexible or on-call schedules

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and iDRAC management
- Enterprise hardware certifications (Dell or comparable)
- Exposure to GPU/AI server infrastructure
- Data center operations, rack/stack, structured cabling experience
- Associate s or Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
