Commercial & Agricultural Tire Technician

As a Commercial $ Ag Tire Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of tire and related service and repair for the Retail/Commercial Tires, Medium Truck. This position must be able to drive a service vehicle to where a customer is having a problem and be able to repair or replace their tire(s) as needed. Job duties may be performed at the store location, at customer locations, and on roadside service calls. This position operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments; exposure to heat and cold is to be expected. Excellent safety and attendance performance is expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mounting and dismounting tires on retail vehicles, medium trucks, and trailers. Including training and use of additional safety equipment for enhanced danger. Balancing tires to ensure proper weight distribution. Understanding additional balance mechanisms such as, balance beads and balance rings. Identifying and repairing punctures or other damage to tires and/or tubes. Patching or plugging tires as necessary. Evaluating retail vehicle, medium truck, and trailer, lifting using proper equipment in accordance to safety protocols. Rotating tires at regular intervals to promote even tread wear, including medium truck and trailer patterns. Operate a Standard Commercial Service Truck (No Boom) Performing all above tasks out of a mobile service truck. Responding to service calls dispatched to customer locations, which may include highways, parking lots, or job sites. Proper use of mobile equipment that may be different than equipment used at the store. Ensuring the mobile unit is properly maintained and stocked with necessary tools, equipment, and supplies. Efficiently managing time to respond promptly to service calls and complete on-site services. Maintaining communication with a service coordinator throughout service call and documenting service call properly dependent on customer needs. Requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
