Materials Specialist

Position: Materials Specialist Location: Cayce, South Carolina Duration: Contract (through May 2027) Job ID: 179700 Pay Range: $28- $34 Job Overview: The Materials Specialist will work closely with storeroom personnel at multiple power generation plants across South Carolina. The role involves assisting with new item creation, syncing data between Maximo and SAP, ensuring SOX compliance, and handling additional inventory tasks as needed. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams. Responsibilities: Assist with new item creation and data synchronization between Maximo and SAP systems. Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and company policies. Collaborate with storeroom personnel to manage inventory tasks across multiple locations. Perform inventory analysis and support procurement processes. Provide support for materials management and inventory control activities. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications: Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Experience with SAP and Maximo (preferred). Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to collaborate effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams. At least 4-6 years of related work experience in inventory management or materials management. Knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control. Understanding of material and service contract law, as well as environmental, government/legal, and regulatory requirements. Problem-solving and analytical skills, including basic forecasting and trend analysis. Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
