Taxation Supervisor

TAX MANAGERLocal CPA firm is looking for a Tax Manager to join their team in Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax preparation and a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.Tax Manager Responsibilities The Tax Manager will oversee the preparation of tax returns for clients and provide guidance on complex tax matters. They will also play a key role in client meetings and tax planning efforts.ResponsibilitiesReview and approve all tax returns and assist with governmental tax examinations.Take the lead on large tax returns and provide support to tax preparers as needed.Demonstrate advanced technical skills for client advisement and service delivery.Ensure assignments are completed within budgeted time and participate in client meetings.Act as a resource for tax specialists and guide staff on tax-related issues.Handle complex business returns and manage client relationships.Stay informed about new tax developments and communicate relevant information to colleagues.Manage tax examinations and represent clients before taxing authorities.Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all tax returns.Contribute to firm practice development through community involvement.Supervisory Responsibilities:Train and mentor team members at various levels of experience.Conduct reviews and evaluations of the Tax Department.QualificationsMinimum of 5-7 years' experience in public accounting with expertise in tax.Prior experience supervising tax preparers.Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, master’s degree in taxation preferred.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.First Name(Required)Last Name(Required)Email(Required)PhoneResumeResume(Required)Max. file size: 100 MB.MessageDo you agree to receive text messages from Gables Search Group sent from View phone number on click.appcast.io & View phone number on click.appcast.io?
